- Note:The ride will take approximately three hours. In the event of rain, the event will be canceled.
Many of San Francisco’s best spots for sightseeing are along our unique waterfront, and a bikeway will help connect our iconic bridges and put the bay front and center for people of all ages to experience and enjoy. We’ve already seen an explosion in the number of people bicycling along this route in recent years and creating a connection to international destinations such as UCSF’s Mission Bay campus, AT+T park, the Ferry Building, Fisherman’s Wharf and Golden Gate Bridge is a smart way to helping more people travel by bike.
During the bike tour, we’ll stop to talk about plans that are already in the works for this bikeway including the Planning Department’s new design for Fisherman’s Wharf along popular Jefferson Street, the San Francisco Department of Public Works and the Recreation and Parks Department plans to improve the Marina pathway, and the Port of San Francisco’s planning for projects along the Blue Greenway along the Southeastern waterfront.
